FAQ’s

What should my child wear to gymnastics?

Anything comfortable and stretchy is acceptable – leotard, shorts, leggings, T-shirt, tank top . Please avoid items with buckles, belts and zippers. Shirts should be tight or long enough that they can be tucked in so they don’t flip up. Please tie back long hair. Bare feet or gymnastics slippers are best in the gym. Leave jewellery and valuables at home please, SCGC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Do I need to stay during my child’s class?

Parents are only expected to stay for a parent & tot class, where parent participation is mandatory. For all other classes parents must remain in the lobby or are welcome to leave during the class time.

Can I take pictures or video during class?

Pictures and video are not permitted during class times. Due to privacy of other athletes please respect this restriction. Flash photography is extremely dangerous for the athletes and is strictly forbidden in the facility at all times. On the last day of classes parents will be given opportunities for pictures. If you have a special request (school project, family visiting, etc.) please contact the front desk and they will assist you.

Can I bring my child for a make-up class?

Due to set ratios make-up classes are not available. If your child is sick with anything contagious we ask that you do not send them to class. Refunds for missed classes can only be provided for medical reasons with a doctors note.
