About Stampede City

Stampede City Gymnastics Club has been operating as a not for profit sports organization for over 35 years. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and operated by a professional staff. We provide superior instruction in the discipline of Artistic Gymnastics to athletes of all levels.

History

philosophy

The Stampede City Gymnastic Club was founded in 1980 by Victoria Toane and Lenka Lobkowicz. It was established as a non-profit amateur sports organization, operating out of the Senator Patrick Burns School gymnasium in Brentwood with approximately 15 recreational and competitive athletes.

Four decades later it is home to approximately 1000 recreational and competitive athletes and is operated out of a 22,000 square foot facility in northeast Calgary. We are home to two fully equipped gymnastics areas which serve both our competitive and recreational programs. In addition, we have a mirrored dance studio, birthday party room and a huge lobby to meet your needs.

Since 2004, the programs at Stampede City have been delivered under the leadership of David Holmes and Judy Howard-Holmes. We employ approximately 30 coaches who are all certified under the National Coaching Certification Program.

With a mission to encourage participation and excellence in all aspects of Artistic Gymnastics, we have a program to fit the needs of toddlers, Olympians and everything in between. If you are looking for fitness, birthday parties, day camps, drop-in gym, cross-training for your sport of choice, or a home away from home for your aspiring gymnast, our Calgary gymnastics facility has something for you!
